More established members and those who have met "in the real world" have an affinity and that comes across clearly in some of the posts. Those of us that are still relatively new don't have that relationship and probably don't want to appear to be trying too hard and thus seem to have a tendency to stick to the issues being discussed.

Glenn, we were all new on here at some point...

There are various meets arranged, most involving beer/curry/trackdays... in no particular order, and you would be more than welcome to come along and meet the various charachters from here in real life. the more the merrier (and some end up merrier than others) :wink:
but a good time is had by all!

Threads going off topic is a common occurance on here - but in between the lighthearted banter, you will usually get some sensible replies.

I agree with Glenn and Simon that there is sometimes unwanted banter in sensible threads. I know that it is impossible for me to post anything sensible without getting some p!sstake from someone, but hey that's what I love about this site and I give as good as I get. With a thread entitled Water"Sports" it was obvious it was going to get some smart comments.

However the point has been made and I think we should all try and refrain from hijacking serious posts particularly those which have been started by relative new forum members.

I hope that you will all stick around and help me keep Porsche matters on topic

I would like to think that in the last few months thinks have got more clearly with the Members Lounge being better defined, but as with all forums you have to allow for some off topic in some threads and of course the cycles that a forum goes through.
