I've created the proper For Sale ad here:
http://911uk.com/ads_item.php?id=10191
As some may know, I had been trying since late 2019 to bag myself a GT4/Spyder without much success and had resigned myself to waiting until next year for a build slot. The Turbo was the perfect tonic and I had no desire to see it go, but out of the blue I had a call from Porsche offering me an immediate build slot for a Spyder which I accepted. But of course this left me with a dilemma, as while I'd be happy to keep both cars, the boss gave me an instruction that 'having two cars you won't drive" isn't compatible with her desire to buy a new house.
Alas, regrettably my manual 997.1 Turbo is now being offered for sale.
The full advert is in the Cars For Sale section, but below is a summary of the car for those that need more detail.
The asking price is £53k - I arrived at this number based on a couple of factors, most importantly the condition and history of the car, but also having spent a lot of money recently improving things so the new owner won't have to, so I'll be significantly out of pocket even at that price.
Per my recent post in this car's own thread

I had planned on keeping this car for a lot longer, and having spent over £3k in the past month on servicing, tyres and maintenance jobs, I'm a bit annoyed by the timing...
Bold statement, but I think this is one of the best 997.1 manual Turbos around. It's on decent mileage but isn't a garage queen, it drives like new and has had every possible expected maintenance area attended to (almost all in the past three years) with over £12k of work (see below for details). But these aren't my words, when I had the car inspected prior to my purchase in September 2020, Sports & Classic owner Mike told me it was the up there with the best examples he'd ever seen, and of course the full PPI report is provided with the car for confirmation. I would of course also welcome another PPI at the buyer's expense, should that be required.
The bodywork, interior, underbody and the engine are all testament to the previous owners' attention to detail and fastidious maintenance. The 6-speed gearbox works perfectly with clutch and all fittings replaced just 2k miles ago.
Currently there are just over 53k miles on the clock, and the car comes with a folder full of paperwork with full main dealer and specialist history including every single invoice and receipt all the way back to the original sales invoice from March 2007. Every common maintenance point has been carried out, including cross-over pipes, radiators and condensors, control arms and engine mounts. The car received a full service and clean MoT in March 2021, as well 4x new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres and full geo.
Most of the services have been done by Porsche 911 specialists (Paragon, Cavendish, Sports and Classic) the others from Porsche main dealer, and the most recent service was done in March so is all up to date until March 2023. The provenance and history of this car are second-to none. I'd like this to go to a friend of the forum, so it is not advertised anywhere else at this stage. Please note I'm intending to try and get some use for the recent money I've spent, so mileage will increase a little over time.
