Recent work:
Suspension: Springs, bump stops, dust covers, polybushed, coffin arms, fork arms, and geo set up for ‘fast road’.
Servicing wise, it’s also had the water pump, pulleys, belts done, as well as regular maintenance (oil changes etc). I have a massive file of history/paperwork for the car.
It has IMS/RMS seals in 2010, I’ve also always made sure the car has been warmed up to temperature before pushing the revs.
Upgrades:
So it’s properly been sorted! In my ownership I also did Goodridge braided brake lines, new Brembo discs and pads, new caliper lines. The brakes are perfect still, as I’ve only done 8,000 miles in 4 years and most of that mileage was driving on the continent.
Lots of tasteful (reversible) upgrades too, RSS engine mounts, 997.2 GT3 shift mechanism, centre console delete (genuine Porsche parts, Momo mod.07 steering wheel, IPD plenum. I had the Sport Design wheels powder coated to match the with new centre caps (997 turbo caps in grey with gold crest).
I have retained all original parts should you want to put the car back to standard.
- The handbrake and gear knob were trimmed in alcantara, but I have an original Metropole Blue leather handbrake and Tequipment gear knob, which could be refitted if you preferred the original spec.
- I’ve even fitted new genuine carpet mats.
- Alpine speakers (behind the original grills) for an OEM look, and fitted a Blaupunkt head unit.
- The car is running 15mm spacers on the rear and 7mm on the front, with longer wheel bolts to accommodate them (I have the original bolts still). The car sits just right and doesn’t rub.
- The airbox has had the res delete and a K&N panel filter.
- Carbon fibre door sills.
I also have some Genuine GT3 bucket seats available separately which have been trimmed to match this car.
The car is based in Wiltshire, just outside Bath. Drop me a DM if you want to come and view it. The car is ready to go, and you’ll be hard pressed to find a nicer example!
