Suspension refresh

Hi all

So I finally bought a 996! 8) 8)

Engine is good but I think the suspension and ride could do with a little upgrading! I have a few questions

Mine is fitted from the factory with m030 suspension, but I'm not sure whether than means it should be so low? Does anyone have any photos of their car or a car with standard m030 suspension so I can see whether mine has lowering springs aswell? Just not sure what to order as I like how it sits at the moment but the springs are heavily corroded, the shocks can't be much better.

Also, I'm looking at the coffin arms and tuning forks from Spyder Performance. While I'm there doing the lower arms, tuning forks and potentially the shocks and springs what else is worth doing to make a difference to how the car handles?

It's a 1998 Carrera 2 coupe btw :)

A pic of my '99 on 'standard' MO30 if that helps...

Actually these are the pictures I was looking for, less 'arty' but probably more useful

Mine is on its original springs and I thought it would have dropped from factory measurements but it is still surprisingly close to spec.

My refresh has been coffins arms, tuning forks, toe arms and then rear dampers (fronts were replaced by previous owner 20k before I bought it) you can only get M030 springs form Porsche and as I aim to keep spend sensible I just went for bilstein b4 dampers as any other options opened up another can or worms with springs, top mounts etc. i also used spyder performance parts, been happy with them so far.

This is mine with new Bilstein M030 rear dampers and newish OEM springs fitted.

By the way, I have the complete rear damper set up with new bump stops, top mounts, dust covers etc. on them in the classifieds. Under 1000 miles on them. :D

It might be easier to post a side on pic of your car up so we can take a look ;)
