Just a quickie on this, if you have Durametric Professional and plan on using it to code to turn the cruise control on (or OBC for that matter) you might find that for some inexplicable reason it will not work.
I say inexplicable because Durametric themselves cannot explain it even after 6 months of trying and several firmware updates.
It's something to do with the software timing out while waiting for a reply from the module. Maybe.
We have this problem with both a 996.2 and a 986 facelift.
