Flat battery problems common?

Hopefully it is the battery that has caused the problems - I am pretty sure when my Engine check light was on a while ago they OPC asked if I was having battery problems. It was actually the MAF sensor.

Yeah fingers crossed, the car hasnt turned a wheel in 6 weeks, so it must be a sensor or something.. cant see how something like that can go wrong when the car hasnt been anywhere!
