991 > Rear Child Seats

Went to Porsche Hatfield today to test my Britax Romer Adventure. Unfortunately for me they didn't have any 991 gen 1's at all in stock but I did try a gen 2 Gts (rear seat). Didn't fit unless you don't extend the neck/head section. I believe the gen2 has slightly less space in the rear so I still have a small hope it may work.....

I fitted a Portsche rear seat to my 991.1 - works great and my son loves the car and says "Daddy's car very fast". :D

Only downside is not much space for front passenger seat when it's sat forward.

How old is your son Emohawk and do you know what model / group the seat is?

Thanks

Apologies all you Porsche 991.1 fathers out there - I have failed you all.

I managed to get my hands on a 991.1 GTS last week, essentially had to buy it blind so didn't get a chance to try a high back seat in it before delivery. Sod the kids, right?

Anyway to my wife's horror all the hope I had that maybe the rear of a gen1 991 maybe cm's larger than a gen2 was smashed to pieces within seconds of trying my britax in the back. From what I can gather it is the narrowest high back kids seat on the market so if that don't fit forget it.....They fit my old 997 Turbo fine :nooo:

Anyway despite what my wife says the car isn't going back! So I've had no choice but to compromise and get a couple of Halfords boosters (£13 a pop) recommended earlier in this thread. Short journeys only so should suffice!

Have you looked at the Graco Junior Maxi? - I have one for use when traveling abroad as it's light and compact, the high back also removes so it can be used as a booster. Albeit I haven't tried it in an 911... but just a thought.

Britax Rà¶mer ADVANSAFIX

Can highly recommend the Britax Rà¶mer ADVANSAFIX for 911.1 - been using it for my toddler around 2 and she is 3 now. No complaints from her and mrs is happy as its isofix and properly secured with harness that ties it to rear.

£200 from amazon.

Best money spent as it means I can keep the 911!
