Examples of Porsche "Exclusive" amazing options

Hi Guys

Porsche Exclusive is of course the incredible service Porsche offer where they customise new cars at the factory, one-off paint jobs, covering the WHOLE dash in leather for example, right down to microscopically thin layers of butons and airvents etc, making wood end panels etc etc.

The department of course grew out of the "Special Wishes" early 1980's program at Weissach, which created the original Flatnose cars, before they were offered as the 930S.

I thought it may be interesteing to show a few picture anyone may have of the level of customation they offer, it is certainly one of the finest of any car company.

One of the most interesting, perhaps for its amazing/lurid/hideous* 1980's scheme for an Arab Prince was the 959 Exclusive one off! Gold interior and coloured pinstripes!

I can only find thumbnail pics on the web, annoyingly the link to the "History" Section of Prorsche Exclusive website no longer works, which featured it! I have pics in normal size on my home PC somewhere!

Pedant of the day - Flachbau actually means flat building or flat construction, not flat nose.

Flat nose in German would be Flachnase.

Any 996 Owners here go for the "Exclusive" range?

Hi guys

just wondered if any of you guys opted for new, or own second hand a porsche with EXCLUSIVE custom options?

I love the work Porsche does on these taylor made models, right back to the original "Werk 1 Special Wishes" program which started it all, making flatnose 911's before they were a regular 930S option

I started a thread in the general Porsche chatter forum, http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=38781 perhaps any owners would like to add to it, or add any library pictures of any cars they have?

If you havent seen the gold 959 on this its worth a visit, whatever your view of it!!

The spec includes custom coloured leather interior, coloured wheels, stripes, and even the owners crests on the alloys rather than the porsche one!

Love it!

1996 Porsche 911 993 GT2 Exclusive 1 of 1!

Colour / paint : factory custom paint " COPPA FLORIO " ( very pale light blue - a bit like gulf blue ) this colour was a Porsche special colour in the 60's and 70's. This is the "one and only " 993 Gt 2 in this colour. 100% first paint and never ever repainted anywere !!!

Interior : factory exclusive department special interior - very similar to the interior of a Porsche 965 Turbo S lightweight - everything, each and every switch and button is covered with leather. even the roof lining is real leather. Recaro bucket seats with backs painted red. leather colour is " can can red ", all dials on the instruments in aluminium-silver.

Wheels : original 993 GT2 SPEEDLINE for PORSCHE wheels with magnesium centres painted in body colour COPPA FLORIO !!!

History : only 1 german owner from new !!! Owner is 82 years old and had the car especially made for him at the Porsche factories EXCLUSIVE DEPARTMENT in 1996. Pictures of this car was used for the cover of the Exclusive departments flyerson car shows etc. this car was more than 50.000 DM more expensive than a regular 993 GT 2 when new. The car was serviced only at the Porsche factory !!! 7 services were done on the car. The last service about 2 weeks ago. This car has never been on track - not one single minute !!! Accident free and never repainted.

Milage : 42400 km = aporx. 26.000 mls - only long distance ( germany to south of france etc. )

Specials : this car is a " ONE OF ONE " example of the legendary 993 GT 2 of which only 172 cars were made ! A must for every Porsche collector.

Price : 239.993 Euro

NUTS!!! some amazing other cars! I LOVE the porsche exclusive options! that leather work is INSANE! Techart do some of the leather work for porsche exclusive!
