Momo steering wheel boss help

Hey all. I'm fitting a new steering wheel to my C4S so that I can stop hitting my leg with my hand when driving. All is going well, I've done the wiring and the airbag resistor and all is good.

Where I'm hitting trouble is getting the boss onto the steering shaft properly. I can slide it on but it's not going on far enough to make contact with the brass contact for the horn. I've oriented the tab on the boss so that it slots into the gap on the left for the indicators but it's still not going on far enough.

Do I have to bend the brass contact out more to meet the slip ring? Or is something else going wrong resulting in the wheel being too far out?

Doh. Fixed that by simply moving the housing for the indicators up the shaft.

New problem, the steering column give a great ground when the key is out but I loose the ground when the ignition is on so the horn stops working. Any tips on solving that one?
