Years ago, we had a very, very straight, no nonsense lawyer (sadly long since retired) who we used for all our property transactions.
His advice in regard to outstanding debts was very straightforward and concurs with 911TEL: visit in person, look like you (or your accompanying 'legal advisers') mean business, but
do nothing illegal, make no threats (technically assault) just be very persuasive.[/i]
