Hi all, first post here...
I've been keeping an eye on 997 prices for well over a year, i mainly look on AT and eBay, also Car Gurus is quite interesting as it logs cars' original advert prices so you can see how much some have come down in price and not sold easily.
There was 2010 C2S PDK with 83000 miles, black on black, paddle/sport wheel, chrono plus, PASM, PSE, heated/embossed seats, looked mint, started at £38000 and came all the way down to £31000 before it finally sold. I also watched another with the same spec, with 29000 miles, go for £42990!
As someone else just pointed out, unfortunately the mileage does put people off as it's likely to be on 100,000+ miles when it's resale time. It's not that it's a worry for the car, just that resale prices are dictated by mileage.
As for time of year, it probably narrows down the punters a bit, but i think you need to get it on eBay, list it as a classified ad, it'll only cost you £15, no extra charges when it's sold, you can end the listing anytime with no fees.
I was just in a similar position, i just sold my 2015 Golf R with 40,000 miles on it, above average miles when looking at others but it went in 2 weeks for only £250 under what i wanted, so i'm now looking out for a Gen 2 997 :thumb:
I hadn't seen yours till last night, i absolutely love the spec of it. I could be tempted, i'm just a bit worried i'd be scared to put miles on it. If i could get that out of my mind and just enjoy it/think of it as a keeper ...
Would be interested in any advice on the cost of the PCCB's.
