Ok .. front camber is adjusted at the top of the strut , its a C4 ( driveshaft still connected ) and the new ball joint will be very stiff , you also still have the track rod connected so i think your not pulling the hub / disc out far enough , you also have to move the ball joint a bit to position it .
If the arm is still off then just insert the ball joint end .. that will prove theres nothing stopping it going into the hole .
Them try and pull out the hub further or remove the track rod end to help .
