Hello everyone,
after a year of looking i finally bough my first 911. The car belonged to a forum member on here called me&my997. I collected the car on Saturday and drove it back up to Dumfries, Scotland.
I am an enthusiast and have had various cars & bikes over the years my last car being an Audi S2 Avant which i sold in November. Here is a link to the build thread: https://www.s2forum.com/forum/member-s-area/member-s-cars/76829-red-s2-avant
I have always wanted to own a 997. I just love the way they look. Usually keep a build thread of the up keep and documenting the ups and downs of ownership of my vehicles. Here is a couple of photos of the car. Some of you might recognise it.
Lovely car and great bike. I've just read through your thread. 8)
I have a love/hate relationship with Ducati. Had a yellow 748 years ago but it was nothing but bother, despite buying it off an older guy in our group who'd had it for years with no bother. :frustrated:
I've always stuck to jap stuff since. 748 and 996/8 is probably THE most iconic bike design ever though. Gorgeous.

I have a 748 which is track bike aswell as the 998s and a 1200 monster. I managed to get 2 track days out of it before someone run into me at knockhill. While rebuild the bike I decided to do the belts and check the valve clearances followers. I soon found out why the guy i bought it of had sold it. Most of the rocker arms were knackered. Just spent a year slowly gathering bits and putting it right again. I hope to get a few trackdays on it this year.
