Hi All,
I'm thinking about changing my old 4 spoke wheel on my 993 for the 3 spoke wheel from the 996/Boxster. Does any one know the model number for the 3 spoke wheel? Do they all fit or do I need an early one?

Thanks, Dev.

Consider a re-trim of the existing wheel. Several of us have had the wheel thickened and 10/2 bulge added. See pic.

However, if you fancy the new wheel, it's your car so go for it! Pics when you are done, please.

The recovered four spoke is a nice thing - I eventually went for this

Mohitos, who has a rather nice polar C2 recently advertised his 993 wheel and airbag removed from his 993. Remember all 996 wheels are not created equal. The common Boxster 3 spoke is still not a thick rim. The crash pad is also vinyl, like most 993's and doesn't look great (imho) The wheel Mohitos is selling comes with the factory thicker rim and leather airbag. It looks as good as a wheel can look in a 993 and changes the steering feel significantly. I think it's still in the classifieds. Rumour is he may be persuaded to sell his unobtainium and NLA tequipment 993 alloy gear knob and handbrake sleeve as well. Depends how much you want to lift the interior and how well trousered you are though. I've seen the handbrake sleeve alone sell for over £1k

I hated the standard wheel, perhaps the worst looker that any old 911 had, so I tried the Momo Prototipo that Colin C had in his earlier pictire, but being digitally challenged, I found that wheel too dished and thus my fingers too far away from the stalks.
I din't like the look of the 996 three spoke either, so eventually went with the RS wheel.
Does the job . . .! [/img]
