Just to say thanks to this forum for the advice on upgrading my speakers. Went for Hertz and changed all four in my cab (mainly as I bought to sets by mistake :grin: ) really straightforward with the additional YouTube video

Did they make a big difference to sound quality

This is on my list for my 996.1 just to improve the depth of sound as think the 1998 originals have had their day!
Where did you buy speakers ?
Also do you have the YouTube link ?

Hi

I bought them from Amazon for £40 a pair, the foam on the originals fell apart as soon as I touched them so they most definitely had their day! The sound is much tighter for sure and after they have been ran-in im sure the bass will get slightly deeper.

Are the fronts and backs the same size then ?

Yes both same size but the rears are just woofers/mids so no need for the 2-ways that are in the fronts, but seeing as I had them I fitted anyway :thumb:

Ideally are they different speaker types or can you remove the 2-ways ?
Sorry novice at speakers :grin:
 
I did a similar one some time ago. It isn't a hard job and does improve the sound.
