So I've owned and love my 997.1 cab albeit for only 4 months, but have been offered the chance (family member) to purchase their 911 Turbo before they part exchange it at their local Porsche dealership.
My car Is an 06/06 997.1 done 74500miles and just had all the required works and borescore done at Precision Porsche and has great history and is simply stunning IMO.
My dilemma is I'm only prepared to sell mine on the basis I can buy this 911 turbo and would need to complete within 10days as that's when the new one is ready to collect?
If anyone is interested in mine please send a DM message or enquire through here and I can supply all the documents/history/photos as there are a few I've posted on here already and can answer any questions you may have.
Now the million dollar questions how much... to be honest I'm being offered the 911 turbo at a very good price so am willing to offer mine at what I believe is good value looking at the cheapest comparable out there is £26k for £23k no offers🙏 With the hardtop and cover/stand.
Thanks

That sounds like a great deal - for you (Turbo upgrade) and prospective buyer (good price). If you don't take the Turbo, ask your family member to contact me :)

You might want to post a few more details about your car - model, colour, options - in case people know of others looking for that spec.

To be completely honest I'm still not 100% sure I want it to go as trying to find one took me months and have just got this one all prepared to enjoy but a lure of a 997 Turbo convertible ( Manual ) is hard to ignore

Sale dilemma

Ohhhhh what to do as I'm sending these I must have changed my mind a dozen times, but even if I don't do it's nice to share the love of 911's and reminds me why I took the leap as there's nothing prettier than a 911 in my opinion even one as old as mine..but £50k for a Turbo manual convertible :frustrated: is hard not to be interested.
Hopefully no one wants it then it makes it much easier and if they don't I'll let you know  but the timescale might be difficult for him to sell elsewhere

Did you sell it for £23k? Feels to cheap, and yes, know you can get into the next one cheap, but still....

I've had my 07 C2S Cab for 6 years, will be selling it next year. If you asked me 6 months ago I would of said I wouldn't ever be selling it, but circumstances changed, work is good, so coupled with Porsche adding a manual box to the GTS, I've ordered a new 992 GTS Manual Cab :)

Trying to work out what mines worth and if I should hold on to it until next year. It's high spec, sports chrono, manual, hard back sports seats, all the right options, mileage is up at 94k but it has been really looked after. Just had new oil tandem pump, new front shocks, had new water pump, new coolant lines, anyhing its needed, so it might be heading for high mileage, but it drives flawlessly and my Indy says it's in great condition. Oh and Bores were checked about 1.5 years ago (needed a new AOS it turned out, again, seems there are some bad new AOS out there from Porsche, so it had two!), IMS is of course the alter one as its a 2007 car. Hard to price it right, dont want to undersell it!

Enjoy the turbo. It does amuse me that a 997.1 turbo has 473bhp (i believe) and my new GTS will have, yes you guessed it, 473bhp and 420 lb/ft torque! things move on it seems!

Congrats on the sale, someone has got a real bargain it looks fantastic.
Opportunities like this don't come up often so i definitely think you've made
the right decision. You will love the turbo :thumb:

Sale dilemma

Hi Resigner,
Actually got £23500 but as you said still cheap at that considering the work i have had done.. surprisingly didn't sell to anyone off the forum as no takers or offers :?: sold it very quickly to someone who lives close and had asked me previously if I was ever to sell let him know and he snapped my arm off :thumb:
On the sale of yours I suppose it depends how motivated you are to sell and price accordingly and yours being the gen2 doesn't come with the IMS issue that plagues the thoughts of buyers on gen1 so should be slightly easier to sell at the right money.
Julesturbo
Thanks mate I literally went straight to my family member whose selling the Turbo and paid him straight away as the local Porsche garage offered him £3k more than they originally offered as he told them he was selling privately and they told him they had a customer for it so could increase their offer :dont know: :hand:
