It depends on your point of view.

If someone with a 911 Turbo that I knew would be using it like I do mine said they'd give me £1 a day and that in return they'd expect me to pay to fix their car after any smash they might have in 6,000 miles of driving - even if that included them colliding with a brand new Ferrari - I'm not sure I'd agree to the deal.

Like with any other Insurance it only seems like a con if you never make a claim.

The NCB is unfair. If you've not had an accident then you've not had one. Why need a second set? I had to build up my second NCB from scratch

So I went with Manning in the end; they gave me a discount to mirror my no-claims on the other policy and had no issue with the car being parked elsewhere at night. Picked up the car today and squeezed it into the garage; nice to know it's safe and far away from the keys!
