My 997 and I

In order to get the car where I want it I've spent most of the day giving the under arches a damn good clean.
It's fair to say they were black with road grime as to be expected but now the hard work is done they will be easy to maintain from here.
All the plastics have also received a good coat of protection and everything is looking a lot better.
As the wheels were off they also have had a deep clean and a few costs of wax.
While a lot will think I'm mad it's also given me the chance to have a good look at everything so time well spent IMO.

The fun bit comes tomorrow as I'll be out for a drive :driving:

How the hell did you get your arches looking like that? I removed my wheels last week and it was pretty grim behind there, even after scrubbing! Look forward to hearing about the magic spray that you used :dont know:

I don'[t think they come that clean from the factory new :floor: :floor: mine look like a coal miners bum :floor:

Not too familiar with coal miners rear ends myself, but my arches are something I have had a little go at cleaning but don't think they would ever come up that well! Good job looks great :thumb:

I will need to look at my arches in more detail as they really are crusty hard to believe they could ever look like KJDs

Lol cheers guys.

It's really nothing more that R222 Autowash formally P21 Autowash and a lot of elbow grease.

R222 Autowash is brilliant you can use it in anything and it's really good on wheels. I've used it on a number of car with great success.
Just spray on let soak agitate rinse of and repeat if necessary.
Obviously the more elbow grease you put in the better the result.

I've not finished yet as I play to do the whole underside of the car bit by bit as time permits.

I spent all day yesterday on though going but worth it I feel.

Had a good run out in the car today 250 mile round trip to the Uxbridge Auto Show.

I've been on the look out for a quality indoor car cover and decided I'd opt for the Porsche one so called in OPC Portsmouth today to collect the one I ordered earlier in the week.

I must say the quality is outstanding really pleased with it and they were happy to give me a 10% discount.

Kev, Portsmouth is a hell of a long way from Monmouthshire to pick up a cover  I would have wanted at least 11% discount after that journey :thumb: :bandit:
