Hi guys – I need some help please.

I had a new battery about three months ago and it’s been running perfectly, but the other morning it was dead. Flat battery. The AA believe it is an alternator problem and it needs a new alternator. However, something smells like it’s burnt?
I’ve stopped driving it and it’s going to the garage tomorrow.

Any ideas thanks as always.

probably only needs a regulator pack. £12-18 on ebay. 1 hour to fit.

search my posts for diy with pictures.

Yes, if there is a burning smell it's either a slipping alternator belt ( unlikely ) or the regulator pack, they do burn out after time on all makes and models of cars.
