I'd be very surprised if an OPC would buy in a 10 year old Carrera. They normally trade out such stuff when they take them in as a part-ex.

10 year old/+50k miles p/ex cars straight to auction in my experience (obviously not 993s etc)

I've never used the likes of motorway or we buy any car.

Not sure how reliable their valuations are.

"We buy anycar" are absolutely terrible.

"Motorway"......last Nov, had a quote for the wife's jag...£20k dealer actually came up with an offer of £22,500

If you are Part exing for brand new Car wow will give you good quotes from dealers for the new car as well as the part ex

Not looking to part-ex.

Kids want a motorhome.

Give motorway a go...you don/t have to sell if you don't like the price. I was advised to use them by a relation of the wife, who is an Audi salesperson.

Or get a giant awning for the 991 :floor:

We recently sold two high spec Mini's to Arnold Clarke and I have to say that despite my initially being dubious they were great.

My wife's car was spot on with full dealer history and they paid the full amount on inspection, more than I would have expected from a private sale.

My daughters was similar with full history but slightly more battle scarred and they reduced the initial online offer by £350 after inspection.

Money with us the following day so more than happy.

Sounds like that Motorway bid was pretty good and certainly the least hassle.

I've sold 3 cars via Motorway and I think they've been great on each occassion (albeit I had to chase the purchasing dealer and Motorway a few times to finalise collection dates the last time.

As mentioned above they give you an indication of the likely price but it often goes higher and you're not legally obliged to accept the offer.

The dealer buying the car must purchase at the price they've bid unless you've failed to disclose material issues like wheel or body damage or service history status. Having said that - this shouldn't arise as they are quite ***** about the photos you need to submit and they verify the information on a telephone call too. If you need to sell it's definitely worth a try - nothing to lose.

Also try calling some specialists, like MR Sportscars, 911 Virigin & Ashgoods (other good specialists are available!)

To give you an idea i was negotiating for an early 2012 991.1 S with very similar spec, albeit 54k miles. Private sale. around £45k i think Will buy it though i dont see any records on brakes being done ( £1000 ) which id need to budget for and its going to need its very big 12 year service in a few months which is approx another £1500. So id budget £3k on top of that asking price.
Thats with no warranty.
I actually think these were cheaper or similar priced a couple of years back.

Good evenibg,

I have replied to your PM. Not sure why it hasn't come through.

Except Motorway won't value a car with a private number plate and/or one that is a limited edition

I will remove my private plate before I sell it, thank you for the heads up.

They have not given a valuation on line and not responded to email either :?

The wife's Jag XF Sportbrake had a private plate and we had no problem.

I've had had a valuation on my GTS and that has a private plate too. :?:

Motorway interesting and surprised at evaluation I got tbh. May poke into it further

Not sure if this is permitted here, but if anyone wants to use Motorway I have a referral code that would give each of us a £50 Amazon Gift Card when you sell your car using my referral link. Happy to share the code / link via PM if it's of any use to anyone.
