Hello - I'm currently on the train down to Dorset to collect my first Porsche.

Found a 2007 (yes the tax is expensive) Carrera C2S:

- coupe / manual
- black on black (my favourite but subjective)
- carerra sport wheels
- chrono
- PSE
- hardback seats
- bose
- no sunroof

Its on 146,000 miles - yes its a lot...but

But its had an engine rebuild less than 5,000 miles ago and while it was out a bunch of work was done.

Engine work was:

6 x cylinder liners fitted and bored
Overhauled cylinder heads
24 valve guides
6 new genuine pistons
All new rings
New timing chains
New big end bearings
New main bearings
All new gaskets
Assembled, oil pressure tested, oil distribution tested, compression tested.

£15k was spent in total with a lot of preventative "while you in there" kind of work. I didn't spent a whole lot more than that on the car so my man maths says I've almost got the car for "a couple grand"...

As part of the deal, I've had front ARB bushes, and top mounts replaced so the front end should feel a bit tighter.

Some interior upgrades are on the cards:

- macan type steering wheel
- retrim gear lever
- repaint or trim over centre console
- feed and dye the bolster on the driver seat

Wish me luck...

Hey Rob. I also have a Ducati 996.

What's the Kyalami reference - you from SA?

Classic & Modern Engine Services did the engine and J DAY ENGINEERING LTD took engine out and put it all back together. Cost was split roughly 50/50 between the two.

Not a Hartech build, but hopefully a good one (no more Lokasil bores).

I've been on the lookout for a while, and don't think I remember seeing this earlier. Also it wouldn't stack with the story of the seller.

But, you never know right.

There was a black one a couple of months ago with ~150k and a recent rebuild. Had different wheels though I think.

Looks great :thumb: Enjoy!

Yeah I spoke to the guy about the black one over in Liverpool which had 143k on it for £22k. I missed out on that unfortunately but it sounded well sorted, full Hartech rebuild and 7k spent on the usual stuff identified as will need doing in the next couple of years, coolant pipes, suspension etc
The OP's sounds similar and for not a lot of money, the perfect combination. Enjoy @davenwalk
