After 2 wonderful years of ownership I have decide to put my 996 Turbo up for sale.

It is a facelift 2001 Turbo (first registered on 28/11/01) with 6 speed manual gearbox.
Currently it is on 70,160 mile, taxed and MOT'd

Polar silver in colour, which is slightly darker than ordinary silver with a hint of grey/blue in the sunlight.

It has a fully documented history with Porsche and then specialists with receipts in an A4 binder and original documentation wallet.
It has had some fantastic modifications carried out by FearnSport a few years ago.
New K24 turbos fitted
New GT2 intercoolers
New DesignTek boost pipes
DesignTek F pipe
New Forge diverter valves
New Stainless DesignTek exhaust and manifolds
Uprated clutch
Fearnsport ECU remap to 540 BHP

All the work was carried out by Matt Counsell at Fearnsport (01327 856993) I have spoke with Matt and he is more than happy to discuss the car and the work he done to it as it belonged to a friend of his. Matt has also supplied me with a list of the work and servicing that he done to the car in 2007-2008.

It has all the usual Turbo extras like Bose sound system, full leather Metropole blue interior with hard back electric sports seats, electric sunroof, alcantara roof lining white dials, aluminium gear knob, surround and handbrake etc.
Rain sensitive wipers, rear wiper, electric mirors, OBC
PCM with 6 disc CD changer, Sat nav and updated 2012 discs

Everything works on the car as it should, the rear spoiler rises at exactly 75MPH and lowers again at 38MPH
There are no clunks or creaks from the front or rear suspension components
There are no problems selecting any gears when shifting up or down and it does not jump out of any gear.
The exhaust system is louder than a standard system at idle, but really comes to life above 3000 RPM.

A brief rundown on the servicing history that I have documentation for is as follows...

OPC Solihull @ 8796 miles
OPC Solihull @ 23425 miles
OPC Solihull @ 38915 miles
Hollingworth at Ombersley @ 48580 miles
AMD Technic @52016 miles
FearnSport @ 55100
Specialist Cath Burrows @61000 miles
Specialist Cath Burrows@ 63217 miles
Specialist Cath Burows @ 64699 miles

I will happily email pics of the servicing book and the contents of the A4 file

The brake fluid changes have been done at 23425,48580 and 63217 miles and stamped in the service records
Rear brakes and discs changed by OPC at 45701 miles and the front discs and pads at 55100 supplied by OPC and fitted by Fearnsport.

The pads were replaced again at 63217 miles

The rear shocks were replaced with Bilsteins at 64,669 miles.

The radiators have all been replaced twice in the cars lifetime, the outer ones were last replaced at 63,217 miles and the centre one at 64669 miles. Genuine Porsche supplied items were again used.

During my ownership I have replaced the oil at 67,200 and 69,700 miles. The spark plugs and coil packs were all replaced at 67,200 miles, at the same time I fitted DesignTek panel filter, I have kept the receipts for the items and the oil. The gearbox oil and front differential oil were both replaced at 69,300 miles. I have also fitted a new MAF sensor.

Regularly I check the condition of the bolts on the exhaust and manifolds, actuator rods and other bolts, they are regularly sprayed with Ceramic1200 grease to prevent any corrosion.

The rims have recently been removed and some minor kerb marks have been repaired, while the rims were off I reconditioned the paintwork on the calipers. On the inner edge of the discs some minor pitting was evident, the discs were removed and 0.6mm was skimmed off one disc and 0.3mm off the other. Braking is now much sharper and judder free.

There are plenty of pictures and much more detail in this thread including what I have done with it and some indepth pictures that you wont find in any adverts. Read through it all and you'll see that I have nothing to hide.

I have no problem making the car available if anyone wants to have an inspection carried out

I have detailed the car myself and kept the bodywork in perfect condition, I detail many cars in my spare time and have a pretty fussy attitude to my cars and the work I do to others. Previously the front and back bumpers were resprayed, they are a perfect match, I have a paint depth gauge and if anyone wants to use it to check the paintwork on the car anywhere else they are more than welcome. I can guarantee that the bodywork on this car is one of the best early facelift Turbo's there is, I can also guarantee that it has never been involved in an accident, there are numerous date stamps and original stickers in various places on the car.
Obviously the car is HPI clear, and I have a few previous HPI checks from previous owners

If you are interested I can happily send many more pictures or provide whatever information you may require.

I have photographed underneath the car, the front diff, underneath the engine, exhaust, actuator rods, radiators, intercoolers etc etc.

I am looking for £24,000 for the car

I am based in Northern Ireland, that may sound like a bit of a journey and puts a few people off but it is only 40 minutes away by plane and flights can be got into either of the Belfast airports or Dublin airport for as little as £25. I would happily arrange to pick someone up at either airport if they were interested in coming to see the car and sample some of our local roads.

(I'll update this advert with links to photobucket albums and any other relevant details)

In response to a few questions..
The number plate will stay with the car, I bought the 3 digit plate but will not be keeping it. The new owner will have the choice to either keep it on the car or put the original back on again. If the original plate goes back on again it is a free transfer, the WBZ plate can then be sold or transferred to another car of the new owners choice.
There are 5 previous owners of the car.
During my ownership I have covered less than 6,000 miles, basically because it was used very little over the winters ,I have a daily driver, I had an Escort RS2000 and a few Subarus at the same time.
The reason I am selling the car is because I will be paying off my mortgage a few years early during the summer.

Good luck with the sale. Beautiful car :thumb:

Looks a great car and well looked after, I'm sure you can buy it at that price and run it a year and get back all your your money next year ! so a free car for someone ! :D

I had quite a bit of interest once it went on Pistonheads, the thought of traveling any distance seemed to put some off though. The buyer today flew over from Liverpool and its on its way back now. :thumb:
