Hi All

so our Spring is finally in sight and i am getting jobs lined up for the 964 that we have had for 12+ years and one of them is to look at 'flattening' a section of the top of dashboard

it has a slight curl / lift upwards close to the long trim at the bottom of the windscreen. maybe by 5-10mm but it is noticeable since it is directly in the view of the passenger

I have spoken to one trimmer and he has suggested trying heat but isn't optimistic

There are no cracks in the dash which is in v good condition otherwise

Has anyone carried out a successful repair / pulled it back down in some way perhaps please? i have attached a couple of pics which help i hope...

Fingers crossed!

many thanks

...could you possibly remove the vent and apply adhesive to the underside of the dash and weigh it down until dry?

Hi
many thanks and the 'other' form was interesting to read too - shame the TSB's have gone as would have been useful

I'll have a look at removing the long vent strip to see what's underneath as there is mention of a metal tab or bar and try a few things - gently!

Will let you know what i find out :thumb:
