What was the deal with the xsu seat cushion? Not heard about that before and as my seats have a rip in them could do with some love and would benefit from some thinner padding, can you just buy the foam? How tricky is it to fit?

Thank you. It's just 10mm thinner foam for the base/side bolsters and back. It's visually noticeable as only the driver's seat was done. The back just pops out but the base and side bolsters take a bit more time. I had an upholsterer do the work. I definitely felt the difference when they were fitted. If I swap between the passenger seat and mine I feel a difference.

Just picking up the car from a major service. Custom dials from Reap (guards red centre and white each side), sports seats off of eBay re-skinned and colour coded (XSU foam fitted to driver's seat), new black steering wheel and gear gaiter (short shifter), blacked out centre console, red seat belts and some other trim bits.

Your car looks great, both interior and exterior. Only love for white 996s

For a reason i find that my interior looks more yellowish than all the photos i ve seen of Savannah beige. Maybe it is just the photos that make it look more Beige though.
The retrimming looks ace. Hopefully When i take mine to do that it comes out that good!

Were the sport seats back in the early 996 space grey colour? Were the material looks a bit matte and not that smooth to touch? Because yours looks smooth and shiny. I feel to get that result on the early seats it needs a lot of prep work to make the surface smooth.

All the work done in your car looks ace! Really inspiring and gives a lot of ideas away.
One last thing, Do you have full leather interior? Or it is the normal one, with Dash in Vinyl?

Seats in mine are corbeau sprint xl. Think they're still available from corbeau and they're trimmed in Savannah. Thinking about changing the inserts for pepita actually. They're foam and Velcro's in so easy option to switch and switch back.

Thank you so much, I've had the car 14 years or so and I went crazy in the early years and it's so nice to have a car I can just enjoy without a long list of fixes. The dash is not the full leather version. The seats were grey with a rough surface but they were smoothed out and it is shiny to touch now.

Haven't posted anything from the start of this thread, but i. The meantime i got some KerscherFx wheels and also got the interior retrimmed!

Need to sort out the steering wheel, gearknob and handbrake though, as I could not get those covered with the leather I got for the seats as it was too thick. Could not find someone in Cyprus to slim it down for me, so I am looking options to send my remaining leather to do in Europe.

Also got the interior professionally detailed as you can see i. The photo, there was a lot of grime from all the years which made the savannah beige colour look completely different!
