Picked up my 996 10 years ago yesterday, joined the forum 10 years ago on this coming Wednesday.......where did that time go?

I'll not waffle on, but just say 996 ownership over the last 10 years has been one of the most special moments of my life - the car, this forum, members who are now very good mates, almost family to me, members who got banned who got on my tits, the buying of numerous sets of tyres, the breakdowns, the umpteen gallons of fuel........and most importantly - the 80 odd thousand smiles!!!

Here's a few snaps of the old tart:

Cheers to you and concur with everything said above👍

Good on you fella, they do get under your skin even when they cause you grief. Had it with my 944 last year, some late frustrating nights, all happy now.
Not sure what it is with the 996 after having a 997, just seems to tick my box ?
The amount of people who comment on it or give you the thumbs-up, a scally on a bike the other week shouting "love it" with the thumbs only the other week, probably off his box, but still.
Bought my 944 Turbo back 16 year's ago, some brilliant memories both good and bad :p

One of the key members who makes it worth being here (y)

And Alex's quickshift mod hasn't been the single best, cheapest and most substantial mod to my 996, nope definately hasn't, except ..

I googled "alex quickshift 996" and my post came up :D

congrats on a decade

and an outstanding contribution to the forum community in that time

Well done Alex, bloody good effort and you're a wonderful advocate for the 996. (y)

Nice one Alex! 8)

Some good pics there. The “nightmares at the time” are the things we look back on and laugh at eh. Got to have some adventure in life.

What happened with the diff?!

I pulled out my drive one day and my back wheel started locking up every time I turned. A tooth broke off one of the internal diff. gears and wiped the lot out, least I think that's what happened.

Wow! 9 years ago:

Congratulations Alex (y)

10 years  That said, I can't believe it's nearly 3 since I ventured up your way and met the 911uk North West posse.

Join the queue. There's people who've been waiting a lot longer than 3 years.

This just popped up in an American FB group I'm in.......made me chuckle.
