Great list, they are addictive once you start and inevitably the while you are at it factor creeps in!
Out of interest as I also have these items on my list how far are you going with the suspension and what have you gone for audio wise? I have a box sat at he ready with a set of FSD Konis however am discovering this can be just the tip of the iceberg suspension wise.!!
Yes feeling excited  .. i always buzz off stuff like this !! As for set up Mike i'm not quite sure yet until its been checked over, i don't even know if the car is still on stock suspenstion or not it will all become aparent when the car is in the hands of Chris and Pete and i will be taking the advice from them regarding parts etc.
I was steady doing $#@ mph on the M1 last week and things did not feel right at high speed lots of body movement and rolling around :nooo: my old 964 felt solid and safe at 145mph i wouldnt dream of pushing the 993 that far at the moment and these cars are quite capable of doing just that easily.
Having done the lower camshaft covers, the cam chain cover gaskets and seals I still have a small leak, about a tear drop appears after a run :x I am determined to get the car drip free. So I now have new upper camshaft cover gaskets and bolts. I will also change the cam chain oil bridge O ring seals along with the cam chain tensioner gaskets, hopefully this will do the job. My only regret is I should have done it when I did the other work on the upper camshaft covers and the cam chain covers as everything was off :wack: Moral of the story if you are doing this type of job do all the possible leak points, its only a extra £60 or so in parts.
Don't forget to replace the 2 cam adjuster cover gaskets too, (my first pic, item 12 on page 25 in the PET) they are about £10 each if you shop around.
You have my sympathy with the sling thing. Had to wear one last year for months! So frustrating. I was told it would be illegal to drive at all - not even the automatic gaily driver.
