Great spec and great price considering. Someone will get a bargain!

Thought I'd put up a little update. There's not been a great deal of interest in the car presumably due to it being modified, being a higher price than most, and the time of year. I've decided I'm going to get some use out of it this year and won't be actively selling it. It is still available for sale if someone wants it - the price is the price - but I think its time to get a bit of a return on my investment.

With this in mind I thought I'd do a little restoration of the front end - the usual rads/condensers and a fresh look for the bumper. The few people who messaged me about the car will know I said I wasn't going to sell it until the rads were done and I finally got time to sort them.

As you can see the centre rad was a bit of a mess

The side rads were looking a little crumbly so I ran the car up to temperature and disconnected the fans. Sure enough they were both steaming like kettles. If you're struggling with 'mysterious' coolant loss then this is a good thing to do. With the fans running you often cannot see the steam coming from the radiators and they will not look like they are leaking.

Looking a little bit sorry for itself

I removed everything from the front of the car, cleaned everything up, sent the bumper to the paintshop and had all the bracketry powdercoated.

New OE Rads and hoses

Cheeky little mod to the grilles

And building it all back up with new fixings

Looking a bit mean...

And all done, paint corrected and ready for its MOT today. Really looking forward to getting some use out of it this spring.

Just the little puzzle of where to put the stick-on front number plate whilst preserving the new mean look of the front end.... :?:

Just a sticker would be my advice. I run a 50% size sticker and have not been pulled yet

Mine is a stick on (standard font and size) on my 996. I am happy with it, was tempted to go smaller but did not want to attract :cop:

I can't tell you how much this warms my heart Raggy!! That turbo needs to be driven after any pampering session

Great to see you have it out and about again and looking oh-so fine :thumb:
