Powerkit - anyone tried it?

SO there have been three articles in T911 about the powerkit for the 997 (under different circumstances). Each one has said that it is an option they would really consider. It sems expensive at £8K.
Has anyone tried it on here and would any of you really spec it? :?

Yep, the Cobalt blue in the latest one. The (red) one Phil took to the Alps and the (silver) one in the last issue. I think. Everybody seems to say how good the extra bhp and revs are.

very interesting.... but they all seem to be demo cars that Porsche are really pushing......... wonder how the market will take 'em ?

They seem to be kitting all the press cars with them. That's why I wondered if any of us "mortals" had tried it.
