Hi all

I have a MY 2000, 996 C4. Needs a new battery. Any recommendations? Much appreciated.

Personally I'd go for a cheaper one with a 3-4yr warranty. If you get 4yrs out of a battery that cost £60 that's not bad, plus I wouldn't be trusting the integrity of any battery beyond 4yrs.

Having said that I've just got 14yrs out of the original Varta battery on my Audi A Varta Audi battery did not go back on

Don't buy a "Porsche" original as cheaper alternatives are usually better. :thumb:

Bosch S5. Checkout GT4's post on this topic in the 996 FAQ.
Go for the strongest Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) not just the correct Amperage.
