Jacking Points

Never saw those, best get on Ebay

No problem more than happy to help

I have a set of these - http://liftbars.com/

Does exactly what it says on the tin.

Here's a GIF of a 928 being lifted:

And then a pic of my own car up on them...

Nice characteristics of the Lift Bars are:
  • Allows you to get good extension on your jack stands, so as to get the car up good and high
  • You can use the commonly available (i.e. inexpensive) 'V' or 'U' pad-style jack stands available at your local auto-supply shop, rather than jacks stands with the Porsche-style pads, which tend to be spendy side

Karl.

Personally I jack up the rear on the jacking point and then put an axle stand from the rear under the suspension cross member. Never had any issues.

As others have said, front is easy as jack from rear anyway and use front lifting point for axle stand.

Thanks for the eBay link, just ordered a pair of jacking pads. Whilst on the subject, can anyone recommend some threaded guide pins for helping with removal and refitting of wheels as they seem to be missing from my toolkit cheers in advance.

There are some very useable genuine Porsche aluminium ones available from OPC. Think the p/n is 997 361 161 00
I'd recommend getting 2 to hang the wheel from so you don't bash the calipers or disks.

Thanks to CB911C4S and Jonno for the suggestions, I ordered a pair of high tensile steel jobbies off eBay before I saw the OPC suggestion, teach me to wait :dont know:
