Gen1 to Gen 2 Rear Lights Conversion---------------

Well i finaly carried out the rear transformation... as some had problems with the dashboard indicator flashing fast, that was an easy fix using PIWIS. Also had the gearbox insert mounts fitted and i tell ya what, what a driving transformation, instant power from pedal... does make a BIG difference!!! Pix below of before and after lights conversion.. and gearbox inserts..

Aso my Dectane 997 rear LED lights are up for sale!!!!

Nice Transformation mate., good to see you have used the new cut down tranny mounts , Alex on here helped develop those with Powerflex and the new cut down ones massivly reduce the NVH over the old style ones. :thumb:

Hi phil, cheers :thumb: with the tranny inserts, they are the GT3/Turbo inserts, they arnt the standard ones, i bought the standard 997 C2 inserts a year ago but didnt match the mounts!! Gave em back and re-ordered the correct ones once i saw the mount pattern, took a picture and reaearched, was surprised why i had GT3 gearbox mount but it makes soooo much difference .. instant power pull away is what i can describe it....

Thats good to hear but I know they also cut downn and modified all the 911 mounts based on finding less excess material reduced the NVH. cant explain the gt mount although these cars have some strange bits from the factory , my non bose gen1 had all thre fabre cables for bose . I guess when building then they use whats in stock rather than stopping production . :dont know:
