Folks,

I need to repair my driveshaft, I've removed the CV joint on the hub end which was damaged. I need a replacement unit but looking at all CV joint replacement items across the usual sites they only seem to carry the CV joints for the gearbox side.

My question is whether the same CV joint item is used at the Hub end?, or at least the innards of the CV joint?.

Stand down ya'll, went out to garage last night and disassembled the Hub end of the drive shaft, appears the innards of the CV joint do indeed fit into the cup at the Hub end.

Phew just need a couple of CV joints and boots now

Let us know how you get on Trevor, I've been avoiding the CV boot job for ages, I'd be interested in how hard/messy this job is

Kev at Coppull did mine last year he described it as a real pia.
