Originally bought from an independant (but not Porsche specialist) dealer and subsequently bought the replacement from our local OPC.
I agree with Dougindevon that the OPC buying experience is special. :thumbs: The OPC warranty, although restrictive in terms of later modification, also provides peace of mind that you may not get from some independents. Of course you're paying for both of these.
If buying fron an OPC you might also find it easier to negotiate "extras" in the deal, for example: Cruise Control would cost you £560 ish to retrofit, but an OPC can perhaps more readily absorb the cost, so might be more amenable.
In summary, you can identify the good independents from comments in this forum. Choose one of them or an OPC and you should be fine. If you find the car you want elsewhere, make sure you leave nothing to chance and know exactly what warranty you're going to get.
