I went to Poole accident repair ctr. today for a Porsche meet as they are the regions Porsche approved body centre . lots of interesting cars there and Louise that works there was doing the biz with her baps , she proudly informed me that they were bigger than the last time I saw her and I have to say they certainly looked bigger
Other than Louises baps the other interesting thing that caught my eye was a row of 986s in various stages of restoration , I had heard that Porsche had commisioned the full restoration of a number of cars and that some of the OPCs were building up new engines to go into old models , I now saw the shells in restoration. To make these cars special Porsche are using the 918 colour Liquid metal silver they are getting brand new interiors inc seats with porsche written across the material and engines as well as other restored and replaced items . I was impressed by the combination of the latest Porsche special order colour on a restored older model. I think they look great :thumb:
:floor: :floor: very good mate, that liquid siver is a stunning colour the Pics dont do it justice , It makes even me like silver Porsches
I have heard that its not just 986 but there are 996 and even 928 also being restored for Porsche in the same way and in Liquid metal paint , seems many of the OPCs and Approved body centres etc. are working on this project for Porsche
