IT'S THE FESTIVAL OF (SUPERCAR) SPEED!

More supercars, including exotic machines never before seen in public, than you will ever see together in one place at one time: it must be the Michelin Supercar Paddock at the Festival of Speed.

Well, we can't be absolutely sure of that claim...but what we do know is that with dozens of the world's most powerful and beautiful road cars on show, the Supercar Paddock is a unique part of FoS as well as a must-see attraction for thousands of visitors every year. There's certainly more horsepower on display here than used to live in the nearby stables!

And this year all that horsepower is going to get exercised up the hill as never before. For the first time, every car taking part in the Michelin Supercar Run will be timed. If you ever wanted to know who makes the quickest supercar – and who hasn't? – the Supercar Run at FoS on the Saturday afternoon is the place to be this year.

Around 40 cars are expected to take part in the supercar shoot-out and among them – we believe – will be the mighty McLaren P1. But will its rivals from Germany and Italy be here to take it on?

New supercars to look out for this year include the dynamic debut of the all-new Honda NSX. How fast do you think this hi-tech hybrid will be able to get up the 1.16-mile hill?

Michelin gears up for Goodwood

This June, the Goodwood Festival of Speed will provide petrol head heaven. Find out what to expect at the event, including Michelin's Supercar Paddock....

Last year, the Goodwood Festival of Speed cemented its position as a highlight of the international automotive calendar. This year's theme is Addicted to Winning and the achievements of stars such as Rosemeyer, Fittipaldi, Hamilton, Rossi, Webber, Fangio and Surtees will be celebrated.

It should come as no surprise that Michelin will have a high profile at the festival. It has been pushing the boundaries of tyre technology for more than 120 years.

The company is also addicted to winning, as countless rally and track victories testify – including 16 straight wins at Le Mans. That ethos has led to partnerships with historic marques and scene-stealing upstarts alike, and both camps are represented on Michelin's Goodwood stand.

The breathtaking Koenigsegg One:1 will be there, along with the Noble M600, the stunning hybrid Porsche 918 Spyder and a Formula E electric race car capable of hitting 60mph in about three seconds.

The Michelin Supercar Paddock, meanwhile, will host some of the most desirable vehicles in the world and, for the first time, these unique cars will race against the clock up the hill as part of the Michelin Supercar Run.

Michelin's presence at Goodwood will be an immersive showcase of the manufacturer's motorsport heritage. But it will also be a glimpse into the future of performance driving.
