911-50 Charity Track-Day & Paddock Show'n'Shine
(all proceeds to Chestnut Tree Hospice)

As we celebrate 50 years of the 911, Orangecurry, Clinchy, APW and 911UK have had a cunning idea and we need your help to raise some money for a very important charity..... AND have some fun at the same time.

http://www.goodwood.co.uk/motorsport/motorsport.aspx

Goodwood Motor Circuit, Chichester, West Sussex, PO18 0PH

The four of us have committed and paid to hire Goodwood Motor Circuit for an entire day, Saturday 5th October 2013, to raise some much needed funds for the Children's hospice....

Please visit their web site and take a look for yourself.

It costs over £6000 to run this centre for just one day!! Lets help bring a little respite to some less fortunate than ourselves.

Clinchy has always been happy to arrange these big get-togethers and have never asked for anything in return... so now we would love you all to help out on this big occasion.

PADDOCK - RAFFLE and SHOW & SHINE

We are having to limit the number of cars that we accommodate in the Paddock area to max of 50

Please add you name to the list and if you want to enter the Show n Shine then add your name to the second list too

Tickets are sold in advance (see details below) and all proceeds will go to Chestnut Tree House.

TIMES: Gates will open at 10.00 and close at 16.00 - if you want to participate in the 'Show n Shine' or the Parade Lap please be there by 11.00.

ARRIVAL: drive through tunnel and proceed to Gate 3 where you will shown where to park – those entering the 'Show n Shine' will be in Paddock 2

PARADE LAP: Goodwood will permit cars to be lined up on starting grid, photographed and then one Parade Lap to clear the cars (time permitting) during the lunch break (12.30-13.30). Please put your name on the list if want to take part in Parade Lap and/or 'Show n Shine' event as we need to know the numbers.

TICKETS – limited to 50 cars and includes parking in Paddock, Photo Shoot and Parade Lap
£20 per car – more if you can as all proceeds go to Chestnut Tree House - tickets to be paid for in advance (details below) with closing date of 26 September 2013. Please add your name to the list if not already done so.

REFRESHMENT: tea and coffee will be available from vending machines in the Jackie Stewart Suite and the Aero Club Cafe (breakfast and lunch) is open from 9.30 – 16.30. They will also open the NAAFI wagon (hot dogs, tea. coffee etc).

FRIENDS: please invite your friends to come and support the day, the two car parks on the entrance side of the track will be open for visitors – refer to map.

TRACK DAY: we are running a track day alongside this event and we hope to make passenger laps available in the afternoon – head over to the Jackie Stewart Suite on the day.

POINT OF CONTACT: 911uk

OTHER ACTIVITIES: there are other activities in and around Goodwood but you may need to book in advance – Drifting in Toyota GT86, Skid Control, Plane/Helicopter rides etc

We are going to split the day into three events:

The Track event is a 6-on-track-at-a-time (30-car maximum) Track-Day with a 105db limit.

In practical terms, with only 6 cars on track at any time on this historic circuit, it is ideal for both beginners and experienced circuit drivers. The circuit is huge, and visibility is excellent at Goodwood; there are clear passing opportunities on the straights that are spelled-out at the driver's briefing.

The Trackday will be run fully by Goodwood with their team of marshals and a senior instructor available as part of the package.

With only 6 cars on track, you will spend most of your time enjoying and learning, rather than constantly having to worry about and then adjust for other traffic.

If you just fancy a passenger lap, you can get your money out and experience what a 911 on a circuit is really all about. Goodwood supply helmets as part of the package.

Goodwood Noise Management

http://www.goodwood.co.uk/motorsport/noisemanagement/noisemanagement.aspx

The second event is to have as many 911 owners to turn up for a record 150+ car Show'n'Shine in the Goodwood Motor Circuit Paddock area. This will be covered by one of the 911 Magazines and some of the 911UK sponsors will donate prizes.

The third event will happen when there is an hour break in the Tracktime for lunch. We will get as many as we are allowed of the cars that wish to participate onto the Start grid, and once formed-up (and photographs taken!) we might be able to do two parade laps of the Circuit (no racing or overtaking and engine noise kept to an absolute minimum) after which everyone returns to the Paddock.

What we are trying to achieve here is the spectacle of 100+ 911s on the circuit at the same time, NOT make noise! Book yourself on the track-day if you want to make noise!

Goodwood is a viewer-friendly circuit with its grassed banks and Pitlane first-floor viewing platform, so don't forget your cameras.

The exclusive 30-car Track-Day will cost £250 + £50 donation.

The 911UK Members Show'n'Shine (including parade lap) will cost a minimum of just £20 per car (more if you want !) and the the whole donation will go to the charity

So - are you up for a very big Birthday Party, and helping some very deserving families at the same time?
