Morning Gents,

After almost 14 years I'm going to remove the rear wiper motor/arm, but I'm struggling to find a bung/grommet to fill the hole, is there a default place to get these?

I recall Sam doing this years ago but can't see where he got it from?

Cheers in advance :thumb:

I bought my Alloy + Carbon machined bung a few years ago and can't seem to find them on the internet now...! However here's a link for what looks like a quality item from a UK supplier. :thumb:

Many thanks, appreciated.

I'd rather avoid JMG if at all possible. Some years ago I took the 993 there & the litany of errors was comical.

Thanks

I saw some on ebay the other week.

Thanks. I can't see any now unfortunately.

It may be a case of getting another Porsche one from say Design 911.

Anyone know the size of the hole?

Thanks

I made one from a toilet cistern blanking plug about 2 and a half years ago as a temporary measure... And it's still on the car now 🤣

sorry cant do a link but ebay number is 144237419766 try that.

Gav, I'd probably just pick up the parts from Porsche:

http://p-car.com/diy/rearwiper/

These are the parts required apparently:

P477.845.333 Screw
P477.955.439 Grommet
P999.707.301.40 O ring
P477.845.331 Washer
PN.011.118.14 Nut

Bite the bullet and get a new rear screen.

Thanks Rob, I hadn't seen that one.

Hope you're well and hopefully see you at The Hare next month :thumb:

Hi Gav,

Great to see that you still have the 993.

Not sure of the diameter of the hole but wiper delete kits / bungs are readily available i.e. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/23444946...BThEhNnN2dv2re848GqZxDWbzZQOAaohoCdtYQAvD_BwE

Longest link I have ever seen.

Sam replaced the whole screen :- http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=63746&highlight=wiper

Hi Dom, good to hear from you. Got to be about ten years since I last saw you at the Poole Quay meet!

Glad you've still got yours, we must be the last few of the old guard, seeing Dom M selling his was quite something, though can't blame him at that price!

Anyone ever hear from Sam at all? I see Ben aka thecock is still on here
