PPF Damage

Anyone got any tips or suggestions for repairing bubbles close to the edge of PPF?

Annoyingly, I suspect I got a bit too close to the edge with the jet washer and water got behind the film, which has then subsequently dried out and left some bubbles. I only noticed it a week after washing the car, so in theory should all be dry and free of water now, I'm just hoping its not too late to rectify.

Any advice guys? I'm wondering if applying some heat might help or am I wasting my time and risk further damage as the adhesive has already failed ?

I suspect this will require a full PPF vinyl to the panel as that was the suggestion when I had my Alfa and the dealership/factory caused it to lift at the edges. Ineveitably some grit/dirt will have got in and either now stuck itself to the PPF or on the bodywork so needs to be cleaned before reapplying. That said if its on the PPF then I suspect it is spoiled.

You could try and lift it with heat give it a clean and then re-apply although I doubt you'll get a perfect finish.

I'd ring a PPF company and ask their advice. There's some stuff on Youtube but this seems to be mainly areas where the vinyl wraps around the arch

Thanks Zingari. I guess I need to take it to someone. Was hoping for a easy and inexpensive fix but not holding my breath tbh.
