I've been struggling with rapid battery drain on my 981 and wondered if some gurus could help.
What I've tried:
1. Checking every fuses current in the footwell fuse boxes after the car has gone to sleep.
2. Bought a battery monitor (see attached for drain example).
1 highlighted to me that the only things draining current were the PCM and instrument cluster before the car went to sleep (0.75A total) but these went to 0A once the car went to sleep.
2 has shown the drain on the battery over 24hrs. The orange line is the voltage and we can see after a decent drive the voltage sits around 12.7V which would suggest the battery is fully charged. After only 24hrs this voltage has dropped to about 12V, which suggests the battery would go flat after only 3-4 days.
My main question is what else could be draining the battery? What can I check?
Thanks!
George
