Hi all,
Thinking of replacing the interior lights with Led's and wondered if anyone has done this, what kits they used and any issues? have seen a few kits on the net but the quality looks to change a lot.
Thanks Dean

I used that same kit a few months back and it has been fine with no warning messages. It is worth planning which bulb goes where before you start. I think the reading lights and the door card bulbs are the same fitting but the kit comes with slightly different types of bulb for each (2 with leds on the top and 2 without). I started with the ones on the door card and had to go back and switch them for the ones without the lights on the top which I felt were more suited for the reading lights.

Decent fitting guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBtqqQjmfjo (although I'm not sure why he fits them in semi-darkness!)

On my 997.2 I originally used one of the Ebay sub £20 'kits', but after a few weeks got persistent flicker from the 'wedge' bulbs, they would also 'glow' for a while after locking the car....I also found them a bit harsh, especially the festoon bulbs.

I then followed the advice from Norweigan Car Guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHroID37f-k and sourced some OSRAM bulbs from Ebay, immediately could see they are such better quality! Buy cheap, buy twice as they say!! Think was about £45 for the bulbs needed:
7x Osram 2825DWP-02B (wedge), and 3x Osram 6413DWP-01B (festoon)

Bulbs have been fitted for over a year now and work great, and much nicer light (IMHO)

I also did the Licence Plate light upgrade to 991 (standard VAG part) LED: 1K8943021C (&D), think I paid about £25 for a pair. I did need to 're-align' the wiring on mine to get enough wiggle room (simple bumper off).
