Hi All,
Just wondered how many of you had fitted them and if they are really night and day to the std PASM like the youtube vids would suggest?

Cheers Dean

Hi,

I have on my 997.1 - it's not night and day, plug in and be stunned at the difference, it's much more subtle than that.

First off, the .1 has the "traditional" nose bounce thing going on sometimes - which the DSC eliminates. More importantly, and more subtlety it will react much quicker to inputs and changes to the car's attitude. On track it makes a much larger obvious difference, but on the road it just makes it very usable - I'm not sure but feels like it works all 4 corners rather than the stock feels like it's per axle.

It also makes sport setting on the dampers worth it as well, as it maintains the range of damping without just whacking it on full hard like the default controller.

So well worth it, but isn't an immediate "OMG!" moment. That said, I should put the old controller back in and see how it behaves!

Fitted one to my 997.2 c4 after replacing all of the suspension including the PASM shocks. For me it was night and day, much smoother over horrible road surfaces. No more spine jarring and going into a corner you can feel the suspension loading up and the DSC doing its work. Best upgrade by far

That the sort of thing i wanted to hear, always best to do some resarch

Did you replace the std suspension as was shot or a complete upgrade to go with the DSC?

There's masses of positive reviews in this thread.

There's several more in the 'similar threads' listed at the bottom of your page.

For me on my 2010 manual C4S, fitting the DSC did provide an immediate and obvious improvement. My car is lowered and on standard B4 dampers, and as soon as I put the DSC in, I took it for a hoon along my favourite local B road. And given the increased level of composure it brought, together with more controlled braking (less dive), better going into bends and accelerating out, the improvement was very obvious indeed.

I also realised that that the Sport setting could be used now, this was how I initially drove it on the B roads. Whereas before DSC, that mode was really horrible in all circumstances. The standard setting is now better controlled than before but provides a markedly more comfortable ride too, its also better over humps now also.

Its easy to tailor the DSC settings for your own preferences too, it connects via USB to a PC to update the onboard controller.

DSC is one of the easiest and best upgrades one can do on a PASM equipped 997 in my opinion 👍👍

That sounds a great review
Thanks Dean

The suspension had done 86,000 miles, replaced it with all new parts and because there were new shocks the ride was much, much firmer being too harsh. The DSC resolved this

I fitted one to my 997.2 C2S. Huge improvement! It transformed the ride on the local B roads which is where I like to use the car and as previously stated by others, it makes the sport setting useable on the road. I find it a very worthwhile improvement, second only to a visit with Centre Gravity for correct alignment.

I have one fitted to my 997.2 C2S and found it made the car ‘softer’ and not so crashy but more stable (if that makes any sense!). I can also use sport mode which was an absolute no, no before. Cannot comment on how it would feel on track but on the road it is well worth it IMHO.

I think 9e (Nine Excellence) are the main UK importers. Two 911uk 'Group Buys' have been organised through them.
