Back in a 996 ( now 9e30 ) possibly forsale

Thanks Im just glad to have it back and plan to enjoy it.
Ive just agreed to buy a uprated gearbox for the track car so spending on the Porsche will be on hold for a while

@rwd_cossie_Wil & Neil allan

I had an Escos too, sold it in October then the search began for a 911. Still got my Saph 4x4

You guys on the Escos forum too?

I know of a MINTER, Concours winning Escos for sale too. And I mean concours winning with trophies to prove! You could eat your dinner off of the underside!

Post up some pics if you have any.

Cool thread by the way

I hope its a standard concourse car as modified concourse is something i hate with a passion :hand:

Thought it might have been that car it is very nice. If i had the money and space I would love to have one tucked up for sunny day use

I would have had it, but got the 996T instead, only the future will tell if I made the right decision.

Unless I sell the 996T after a day... :?:

But in that condition, it is unusable really. Tuck her up in bed and wait 10 years I reckon.

Yes it should be stunning once its finished
My pacific blue car has just been broken for parts by Iain on the forum he built it up to a really serious spec then broke it within a few miles, which seems to be a pattern in the cosworth world.

Yeah, I have been watching that, he literally only done a few miles and is now breaking it.

More money in parts to be honest, unless you have a mint car like Barlo's, or Barbers, or that concours stolen recovered one for £50k!!!

I won't mess up your thread anymore, apologies, keep the 996 build going.

Your LM's look best in black too!

I liked them in black as well but when i got the car back the wheels needed a refurb so decided to change the colour to a more subtle body colour.

Still loving being back in a 996, been using it quite alot as a daily but will more than likely get tucked up for the worst of the winter weather.

I liked the R8 and if it was to be my only car, I would say it would of still been in my drive. I just found the 996 a bit more raw and fun for a weekend/ sunny day toy.
In a lot of ways I just found it a bit tame and almost underpowered, I've never had a shot of V10 but think they would be a awesome car, as then the power would match the looks and handling.

Thought I would keep this updated.

Ive just fitted some dial bezels to match in with the other silver parts on the interior, have to say for the money they were a poor fit and didn't even come with 3m tape fitted.

I have also just bought a IPD plenum and larger TB, but looks like I won't get it fitted for a while due to working overseas. After thats fitted the car will get boost leak tested and data logged on Duarmetric.
