Annual service - what is needed?

Just over a year ago my 997.1 C2S (Hartech rebuilt) had a major service at a specialist.

I'm looking to keep on top of it so was thinking of an oil + oil filter change.

To keep costs under control and ensure the preferred oil is used I was thinking of supplying the Millers oil and anything else myself - how much do I need and where is best to get this? I'm the past I've just let garages supply the oil so not entirely sure what all I need (oil, filter, anything else like a sump plug or anything needed?)

I've not done much mechanical work myself so was thinking of using an indi or local garage to do the work.

Are there any other bits that need looking at? Worth doing a drive belt change (was inspected last year)?

I was considering transmission fluid ch age also but again I sure on requirements - I changed my shifter and cables so that is the last thing in the gear change which could be renewed, but then if it ain't broke....

Millers NT+ 10W50 engine oil 10L, (you will need 8.5L) - from opieoils (use a discount code, currently 15% off, SUMMER)

Mann oil filter, sump plug washer - eurocarparts (type in your reg no for the correct parts for your car) - again, discount code will be on website

Gearbox oil 3L (you will use 2.7L) - subjective, but I went with Millers Oils NANODRIVE CRX 75w-90 NT+ Fully Synthetic Transmission Oil (again there is a 15% discount code SUMMER)

Minor service includes a pollen filter , yearly doesn't .

Brake fluid change is every 2 years .

Tiptronic oil and filter is every 12 years or 120K miles .

Drive belt is every 6 years or 60K miles since last change ... this can often go longer ... you look for cracks in the belt on the ribbed side .

Oil .. supply it if you want .. it might be cheaper , oil filter .. probably best to let the garage supply as there will be very little cost difference and you will need a sump washer .. again let the garage supply ..

The garage will not warranty anything you supply .. hence oil filter and sump washer let them supply .. the cost saving will be pennys .

I'm with deMort on this; I only source oil and filter and sump plug and washers and so on if I am doing the oil change myself. And then depending on what engine you're working on, you need a specific socket or hex to shift the filter housing or sump plug. Plus a small torque wrench that'll measure lower values like 23nm for example... :dont know:

Thanks all - point well received regarding oil filter / washer I am happy to leave everything to the garage. In truth I normally let them source the oil as well but I want to get Millers in there so easier to source directly.

With that said - I am struggling to find the transmission fluid in stock... Any ideas?! I can always do it out of cycle if it's a temporary thing. There are so many variants online I am going cross eyed looking at them all :floor:
