Anyone fitted one of these:

I'm debating adding one to the rear of my C4S. I know there are a couple of different options - Quaife, Wavetrac ATB diffs, or traditional clutch plate type LSD's from people like RPM. There appear to now be options for the front diff on the twin turbo platforms too. I'm not sure if they are interchangeable with the Carrera's though. There seems to be advantages and disadvantages to both ATB or clutch plate diffs, depending on what you are looking for. The Quaife seems good value and seems to be recommended by established tuners on other platforms like Birds for BMW.

I'm going to do the same when I build my engine and future proof usual mezger weak spots - good advice from 9e re LSDs - I was concerned about understeer. Will help on track for sure but doubt you'll even notice on road TBH.

Same page buddy. Good info from Adam. Did you swap your turbo ARB's for GT2 ARB's when you put the tractive on?

I'm running Eibach adjustable ARB's, so would review geo, ride height, tyre pressures, and likely move to the stiffer rear ARB placement if understeer becomes an issue. Right now, it seems we'll set up, but hopefully the LSD would be another step up.

I've been running GT2 rear arb since 2014 so over 40,000 miles with DSC and H&R lowering springs.

When we installed TracTive last year 9e also installed front GT2 arb, GT2 engine mounts and new turbo gearbox mounts, GT2 brake cooling ducts, Brembo 380mm slotted brake system, and RSS rear toe steer kit.

Current TracTive set up works so well with good turn in for an awd turbo which I do not want to compromise. You can see I also run a 5mm spacer only at front end (with longer wheel bolts) - the 5mm shims help dial out understeer too as do the wider 245 35 19 section tyres. 325 30 19 section rears basically GT2 RS set up.

I do miss having an LSD on track but never notice on road

Arh, you've gone all out then. 👍 the GT2 ARB's are adjustable too, so unless you are already on the hardest setting, you'll still have room to tighten the turn in, if you do find that the diff gives you understeer, but I'm sure 9e will set it up perfectly regardless.

I do still like the wheels gold BTW. 😉

Yes I run on medium setting at rear and soft out front - it's very similar in ride quality and body control to a 992 C4S obviously in a smaller package is best way to describe my set up. Perhaps a smidge more sporty actually but even more refined than 992 over crests and dips ;)

Always make sure Adam/Ken do a few miles and use Minty before they give back as 9e a long way off for me. Flat bed to and from 9e nowadays as I find the M25 so v.depressing!
