997.2 Black Edition lowering options

I’ve got 2011 997.2 Black Edition manual with PASM and Sports Chrono. I would like to keep the ride as is but I want to reduce the wheel arch gap so it looks similar to my 996.2 with M030 suspension and 5mm spacers.

My 997.2 has 7mm spacers all round.

I would like to keep it OEM with Porsche parts and retain PASM, does Porsche sell lowering springs or perhaps a full suspension kit like the M030 kit?

Any help would be appreciated.

You can check which springs your car has in the front of your manual or in the car. In the options list yours will have the 013 code for the Black Edition, 475 for PASM, and either 029 or 030 for the standard or sports suspension. If you do have the 029 springs then changing for them for the 030 springs will lower it by 10mm. It may be that the 030 springs always came with the PASM option though.

I don't understand the obsession with keeping it OEM though. If you did lower it using another Porsche part then surely your car is not then standard / as delivered anyway?! Why not just do what a lot of us here have and use the Eibach springs, which lowers it by 25mm. You can always keep the original springs anyway, for when you sell the car on.

Eibach gives the best lowering solution. Just perfect.

B16 Damptronic coilovers. Retain PASM, height adjustable, better ride.

Thank you, it makes a lot of sense. What I meant to say is wanted to keep it in the Porsche family parts wise, I’m fitting colour coded sports seats next week and I’ll be fitting carrera classic wheels next month to make it how I want it to be.
Back to the lowering, I had a look in the original sales receipt and it doesn’t list the springs with all the options fitted so I think it’s the standard springs so I’ll give my local specialist a call armed with this useful info.

Look in your service book or the sticker under your frunk lid. JonnieD gave told you what the codes are so you can see what was fitted.
The invoice won't say if you have m030 springs if they were fitted as standard with your model, but all these cars do have every option listed on the sticker, under the frunk lid and in the service book.
There is often sod all difference between standard and m030 springs, especially of swapping from standard springs that have sagged over the years.
The Eibachs will give you the drop and they are progressive, so as comfy at slower speeds and more control when pressing on.

Eibach and H&R have lowering spring options that work with Bilstein PASM spec shocks

Thanks everyone, I decided to go with the 030 spacers and they’ll be fitted when I’m back from my travels.

Hello everyone, I fitted the 030 Springs from the SPASM kit and it drops the car to exactly how I wanted with no noticeable deterioration in drive quality. In fact, it feels even better now with a more focused drive. Couldn’t be happier with the results. Thanks everyone for your guidance.

I drove on a combination of motorway, town centres and fast sweeping A roads today and it was really smooth and planted. Really pleased with the drive quality.
