A feature in Total 911 started me thinking- what would be your 'dream spec' 911, money no object, for when that lottery win comes in...

I'll start;

Basis: 993 C2.

Exterior: S-style wide arches, painted silver-grey with Turbo S rear intakes, C4S body-colour extendable spoiler. GT2 style Speedline 3pc split-rims.

Interior: full boxster-red hide, but black leather to doortops, door handles and upper dash, alcantara to headlining and rear shelf. Aluminium dials. Aluminium drilled pedals, RS gearstick and alu handbrake. 3 spoke 996 wheel.

RS style bucket seats, leather-trimmed half roll cage.

Xenons, sat-nav, proper stereo.

Mechanicals- switchable sports exhaust, full tweaked-up 3.8 RS spec engine developing around 340bhp. "Big Red" brakes. Suspension optimised for fast road/occasional track use.

And yours?

Robert.

mine would be 1989 3.3 TURBO 5 SPEED CABRIOLET with a total closure alarm

LHD 993 RS with normal narrow body C2 body (ie no front splitter/skirt/spoiler etc), rust proofing, all the creature comforts and rear seats but keep all the rest of the mechanical bits. ie a fat/heavy RS

Well...

She would have to be a 993.

Porsche 993, C4S in Black met, with hardback black leather seats, sound pack, trip computer, 996 turbo wheels, techart fogs, climate(gased once a month to keep it real cool).

Would look at a turbo, with the same spec.

Hmmm....... One day !

Forgive me boys - but my current car is REALLY my dream car - 2005 997!!

The only fault - needed a harder suspension, knock of 20 mm me thinks.

Option wise, I have everything I want! I hate having too much personally, but I have xenon lights, sunroof, leather, I would like a Sports Exhaust and sports Suspension.

Don't want anything else - sorry I forgot - I would like the same engine only without the water! AIR COOLED PLEASE!!!!

I would pay an extra 10 - 20K for Porsche to release a BRAND NEW car (ideally 993 / 997 looks) with an air cooled engine! Bit of the modern with a nice classic sound coming from the AIR COOLED flat 6 !!!!

993 Turbo S, artic silver, black leather, hard backed sport seats, and a large carbon pack would do nicely!

yup, pretty much, fatty :P
, except with the seam welded body, lighter body panels and glass, and all the other subtle RS "upgrades" that I don't even know about.

a 73 911 S in Blood Orange or Viper Green. BUT with a non rusted body, and a reliable engine, gear box, mechanics and a modern interior.

It needs to be a daily commute, hence I have a 993 instead.
