Well when we decided to get a 911, I wanted a coupe, she wanted me to get a convertible.
We ended up with a lovely seal grey convertible in the end.
Its the 1st rag top ive had and its really grown on me, so much so, that today I gave it a clean and put the roof on ready for any eventuality that we may need to use it during the winter, but Im not struck on its looks now.

To me it looks like the roof fits badly and is an after thought.

Anyway, judge for yourselves

:lol: the plate is an abbrviation of my name and a nickname ive had for years

I just think the roof should drop by a few more mm at the back. Ive refitted it nad its still the same so I'm guessing thats the way its supposed to be

Thy all look like that (give or take a mm).

The main reason is a buffer region (filled with compression rubber seal) that separates your 32KG roof from the rear carapace as your speed over speed bumps (or pot holes).

Think of it as both saving your paintwork and providing a secure, tight, waterproof seal.
