So was feeling pretty smug with myself, as despite club like mitts, I managed to fit a new micro switch(one that connects to door handle) to cure my cars window fault. Not dropping down when closing.
Not only did the fix not work, its now worse! and thr window wont close unless you "hop" it up with blips of the switch (which I also replaced)and just to rub salt, into my already sore wound,The ***** airbag lights come on!
Have I replaced the wrong switch, or am I stupid?

My window is driving me nuts too!!

Just changed all the door lock and its the same - sounds like I have a door lock that might fix your problem and you have the micro that might fix mine!!

Did you disconnect the air bag??

what side has the problems on yours??

Hopefully someone will come along with a bit more knowledge than us plums!

Have you "re-taught" the lift mechanism its end-stop position?

IIRC, you have to raise the window to the top position by keeping your finger on the button, release the button, and then press it just once more to store that setting in the control unit. :dont know:

The lock has 3 micro switches in it that are also part of the window control - I think there are 7 in total...

Yeah not a nice job - especially when it hasn't worked!!!
