Will the 996, 997 and 991 still be here in 40 years?

I certainly hope so - I'll still be paying for mine in 40 years... :sad:
 
Its a bit of a stupid question to ask (not directed at you for asking though Whitehorse) but they will obviously be around for a long time just the same as all others that have gone before, there will always be a huge following for the 911 breed. Again the 991 is at the forefront of car design and will also be forever held as something special.

They might be more mass produced and in some way be a bit more disposable but they will never be forgotten as the benchmark of the sports car.
