Wheel alignment

I'd noticed some vibration between 60-80 mph so went to get wheels balanced yesterday (at ATS) - sure enough every one of wheels needed balancing.

While they had the wheels off they noticed uneven tyre wear (especially on the fronts) and suggested I had the alignment checked out - bloody hell - the fronts were toeing out so far they were off the scale on their machine, as were the rears, all fixed after about an hour of grunting and spanner throwing.

Vibration now gone away, plus better turn in (unsurprisingly) - they said that driving fast on bumpy roads (which I do on my daily commute) can knock the alignment out again in a matter of months - can anybody comment??

I have heard that alignment is an issue with 993's but I don't know if it is just that they are significantly affected by mis-alignment or that they lose alignment easily? I think the recommendation is to get it checked annually. At least you caught it before needing a new set of tyres!
